‘A Survivor’s guide to eternity’ is Pete Lockett’s first novel. Written on numerous planes and tour busses, in recording studio lounges, laying beside the river Ganges with a laptop, in a sushi bar in Tokyo with an iPad, reclining backstage before a show, on a train in China and many other unusual locations, the book slowly evolved from the seed of an idea into a passionate pursuit.
An award winning musician, Pete is one of the most versatile and prolific percussionists in the World. He has worked with Björk, Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, Dido, Bill Bruford, Jeff Beck, AR Rahman, The Verve, Texas, Dave Weckl, Pet Shop Boys, Dido, Kodo, Amy Winehouse, and many more!   Pete arranged and recorded all the ethnic percussion for five 007 ‘Bond’ films and many other Hollywood blockbusters. He has released more than fifteen CD’s under his own name.
Petes first book, ‘Indian rhythms for the drum set’ (Hudson) was book of the year 2008 in the Dutch music press and top 5 best drum publication 2009 in USA. Pete has taught worldwide, Inc Melbourne university, Royal college London & Berklee School of Music Boston. He has recently launched a best selling percussion APP for iDevices called DrumJam.
